11 New Tata Nexon Rivals Launching Soon: Maruti Brezza Facelift To Skoda Kylaq Sportline

The Tata Nexon sub-compact SUV is one of the most popular and highest-selling SUVs in India. However, to challenge its dominance, several new SUVs are set to make their debut in India in the coming months. Here’s a list of 11 upcoming SUVs that will compete with the Tata Nexon:
Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift – April end to May
The first SUV on this list is the updated version of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. This facelift will introduce significant mechanical upgrades, positioning it as a stronger contender. Key highlights include:
- New 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo petrol engine producing around 99 PS and 147 Nm torque.
- 6-speed manual gearbox for improved highway cruising and fuel efficiency.
- Underbody-mounted CNG tank (expected), freeing up boot space and enhancing practicality.
- Larger 10.1-inch touchscreen, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, and other upgrades.
- Pricing is expected to rise slightly from the current range of Rs 8.25 to Rs 13.01 lakh.
Skoda Kylaq Sportline – Second half of 2026
The Skoda Kylaq Sportline will arrive later this year, adding a sporty twist to the popular Kylaq SUV. It will feature:
- Cosmetic upgrades, including a gloss black grille, black roof rails, ORVMs, and new 17-inch alloy wheels.
- Smoked lighting elements enhancing its sporty appeal.
- Retains the same 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine (115 PS, 178 Nm).
- Expected pricing: manual – Rs 12.75 lakh; automatic – Rs 13.65 lakh.
Skoda Kylaq CNG – Second half of 2026
Alongside the Sportline variant, Skoda is rumored to introduce a CNG version of the Kylaq. This eco-friendly option will target urban buyers looking for lower running costs. It will include an OEM-approved dealer-level fitted CNG kit.
