4 New Skoda and Volkswagen SUVs Launching in 2026

This year, Skoda and the Volkswagen Auto Group are taking a product-offensive approach with several new model launches. Here’s a look at four upcoming SUVs from these brands.
Volkswagen Taigun Facelift
The highly anticipated facelifted version of the popular mid-size SUV, Taigun, is set to debut in India on April 9th. It will be offered in a price range of Rs 11 lakh to Rs 19 lakh.
Exterior Updates:
- New grille
- Sleeker LED headlights and DRLs
- Updated front bumper with connecting LED DRLs
- New alloy wheels
- Revamped rear bumper
- Connected LED taillights
Interior Features:
- Panoramic sunroof
- Seat ventilation
- Rear massaging seats
- 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster
Engine and Transmission:
- Existing 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre engines retained
- 1.0-litre model gets an 8-speed automatic gearbox
- 1.5-litre TSI offered with 7-speed DSG gearbox only

Skoda Kodiaq RS
The sportier variant of the vanilla Kodiaq is set to launch around May–June in India with a price tag of approximately Rs 55–60 lakh.
- Powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine producing 265 bhp and 400 Nm torque
- 7-speed DSG gearbox and standard AWD system
- 0-100 kmph in 6.3 seconds, electronically limited top speed of 231 kmph
- Adaptive suspension, upgraded brakes, 20-inch alloy wheels with red calipers, and RS badging
Skoda Kodiaq Diesel
Due to high demand, Skoda is introducing the diesel variant of the Kodiaq in India. The exact launch date and price are yet to be announced.
